1. MASHOUT was a lot of fun as usual. There were 80+ attendees and many fun events such as a food-beer pairing, Sour Hour, Stout Out, Mead+Cider Hour, brats+fries dinner, the CRABS food event, and a live band. CRABS had 15 kegs on tap, some of which kicked.
2. The Katie’s Bridge to Independence event will be on Saturday September 13 starting at 3:00. So far 12 homebrewed beers will be served. This will be the final one of these events. Address is 115 Oakdale Ave, Catonsville. $40 for all you can eat pit beef/turkey, a live band, and beer samples, but if you serve beer you get in free. 3. Anil hosted a great beer tasting earlier this month, and plans to host another one on Saturday August 30 starting at 2:00 PM. He has lots of beers to share so it is not necessary to bring any. Some food would be appreciated. His address was sent via email.
4. Crabs4CRABS will be on Sunday September 21 at Guilford Park in Jessup. Free to all CRABS members. Price for guests is $20.
5. Ben and some of his Severna Park friends are planning a pub crawl for this Sunday 8/24. All are welcome to join. Tentative schedule is Sapwood around noonish, then Reckless Shepherd, Cushwa, Black Flag, and Crooked Crab, in that order. There is no schedule of times, because some folks linger longer than others.
6. The 15th Homebrew Extravaganza will be on Wednesday October 15, 6-9 PM (brewers can show up at 5:00 to set up) at Checkerspot, 1421 Ridgely St, Baltimore. Brewers get in free. Admission is only $10 and all proceeds go to BARCS. Top 10 brewers get prizes. If you haven’t signed up yet, contact Judy at judy@checkerspotbrewing.com

12. The CRABS barrel with barleywine is ready to be emptied. Let’s decide when to empty it, and whether we will brew something else to replace it. (The quad barrel will be emptied sometime later.)
