1. The CRABS food+beer pairing was a success, with 8 food+beer pairings and great weather.
2. Big Brew was also a success despite a lighter than usual turnout, with great weather and several folks brewing.
3. The Guild summer picnic will be on Saturday June 7, noon-dusk, at Patapsco Valley State Park, Hollofield area, shelter #300. There will be a hedonistic homebrew contest.
4. Annapolis Homebrew Club’s 9th annual Pints4Paws will be on Saturday May 31. CRABS will serve 8 beers (so far) on two jockey boxes under two tents. If you donate a keg, you get in free. Ice will be provided.

5. MASHOUT will be August 14-17 at the same Cumberland location.
6. The Katie’s Bridge to Independence event will be on Saturday September 13. So far 8 beers will be served. Address is 115 Oakdale Ave, Catonsville.
7. Black Flag will have another homebrew competition. Submit two bottles and a $5 entry fee by August 1. Winner gets to brew his/her recipe on their system, drink it free, and bring 10 friends for a free beer on release night (sometime this fall). 8. This month’s competition was amber/dark/malty. There were 10 entries. Winners were:

9. Next meeting: Wednesday June 18. Competition will be Sapwood’s Rings of Light clone. We will meet at Sapwood Cellars, not Heavy Seas. Judging will be done before then, so we will just gather and drink there. Entries are due on Friday June 13. Joe and Anil will accept entries at their houses, then transport them to Sapwood.
