1. The Katie’s Bridge to Independence event was a success. There were over 100 attendees, 15 beers on tap, and lots of beef, ham, turkey, and pork. This was the last of these events. The very large 12-tap kegerator is up for grabs. Speak up if you’d like to take it.
2. Anil hosted another great beer tasting a few weeks ago, and plans to host more in the future.

4. The 15th Homebrew Extravaganza will be on Wednesday October 15, 6-9 PM (brewers can show up at 5:00 to set up) at Checkerspot, 1421 Ridgely St, Baltimore. Brewers get in free. Admission is only $10 and all proceeds go to BARCS. Top 10 brewers get prizes. If you haven’t signed up yet, contact Judy at judy@checkerspotbrewing.com
5. The CRABS barrel with barleywine is ready to be emptied. (The quad barrel will be emptied sometime later.) Come and get your wort. Contact Ben to set up a time. Not everyone has to go on the same day.

11. This month’s competition was pale/bitter/hoppy. There were 10 entries. Winners were:
