1. MASHOUT will be held August 13-16 at the same Cumberland location. This year’s CRABS food competition will be meatloaf. Speak up if you want to put a beer on the CRABS jockey box. Register by July 31 for early bird pricing at https://mashout.ticketspice.com/mashout-2026

2. Crabs4CRABS will be on Sunday September 27 at Guilford Park pavilion, our usual location. Free for members and only $20 for guests. Kids under 14 are free.

3. Checkerspot’s Homebrew Extravaganza will be held on Wednesday October 14, 6-9 PM. Brewers can start setting up at 5:00. Attendees get all they can drink for $10, and all proceeds go to BARCS.

4. Midnight Homebrewers will be running the homebrew contest at the Maryland Microbrewery Fest at Union Mills on Saturday September 26. They are looking for judges and beer entries (American styles only). 5. This month’s competition was session beers. There were 15 entries. Winners were:
