1) The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair Homebrew Competition is coming. Entry deadline is the end of July. See http://mcaf.brewcomp.com/ for details.
2) The second annual Hometown Brewdown will be held on Saturday July 25 in Catonsville. It benefits the Catonsville Cooperative Market. There will be a live band and a food truck. Contact blankben@hotmail.com for info. See http://catonsvillecoop.com/ for information about the co-op.
3) MASHOUT will be held on August 20-23. Sign up at http://www.campmashout.com before July 23 to pay only $50; after that the price goes up. This year’s CRABS food competition will be canned seafood.
4) Crabs4CRABS will happen on Sunday September 13.
5) The Guild crab feast will be on Saturday September 19 at Goddard. Tickets will be $40 and will increase to $45 after a certain date. Sales start on or about 7/27.
6) The Maryland Microbrewery Festival will be on Saturday September 26 from 11 AM to 6 PM. See http://marylandmicrobreweryfestival.com for info. There will be a homebrew contest as usual, but at this time the link still has 2014 info.
7) Baltimore Beer Week will be October 9-18. The website is http://baltimorebeerweek.com
8) On Sunday October 4, Macon Bistro and Larder will have a food and homebrew competition. All homebrewer slots are filled but it might be fun to attend. Business website is http://maconbistro.com/ but no info on the contest yet.

10) We might want to think about our theme for the Guild holiday party, which will be on December 5. Whichever theme we choose could also be used on Club Night at next year’s NHC.
11) The 2016 Guild picnic doesn’t have a definite date yet. May 28 is reserved but since that is Memorial Day Weekend it might be changed to May 21 or June 18.
12) This month’s competition was wheat and rye. There were 7 entries. Winners were:
