1. The Guild summer picnic will be Saturday June 4, noon to dusk, at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Road in Sykesville, pavilion #4. Bring a food dish as usual. There will be a hedonistic beer competition. Entrance fee is $6 per vehicle for Carroll County residents, and $12 per vehicle for everyone else (this should give some incentive to carpool). Also, folks over 62 years of age get in free, so carpool with a senior!
2. Annapolis Homebrew Club’s Pints 4 Paws will be on Saturday June 11 from 2 to 6 PM at the Navy Stadium. They’d like more brewers to serve beer, and would especially like to sell more tickets. 3. HomebrewCon will take place June 23-25. Try to order your beer keg labels by June 7. CRABS will participate in Club Night, and will do Social Club on Saturday. There are two Google docs for planning:

4. MASHOUT will happen August 18-21. Details yet to come.
5. Big Brew at Maryland Homebrew had a good turnout despite the nasty weather.
6. Everyone who has indicated that they want a Guild shirt for HomebrewCon has ordered. If you’d like one and haven’t spoken up yet, do so ASAP.
7. Joe O’Keefe took 3rd place in one of the categories at Battle of the Bubbles.

9. This month’s competition was same-grain-and-same-hop. There were 8 entries. Winners were:

10. Next meeting: Wednesday June 15. Competition will be session beers (4.5% ABV or below). Ben will be on a brewery-hopping trip that week so someone else will need to take and distribute notes.
