3. A survey to vote on 2023 club competition styles will be sent in the next few weeks. January’s competition will be hedonistic, so the survey will determine the remaining months’ styles.
4. Manor Hill is kicking around the idea of a clone competition where they give us the recipe for one of their beers, we brew it, and have a meeting (possibly in April) at Manor Hill where employees judge our entries.
5. Maryland Homebrew is moving to a new location just a few miles from the current one. Chris could use some help moving on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25-27. If you’ll be in town and can help, contact her at chrisanderson@mdhb.com
6. This month’s competition was porters/stouts. There were 7 entries. Winners were:
5th – Trevor Rose
4th – Chris + Christa
3rd – Les + Trevor 2.0
2nd – John Jester
1st – Brian England
7. Next meeting:
- Wednesday December 21, 7:00 PM.
- Most likely at Ben’s house. (For security purposes, the address is withheld here and will be emailed to club members.)
- Rumor has it that the Amazing Szczesiuls might want to host, so we’ll see whether they chime in.
- No homebrew competition, but bring beer to share.
- Bring a food item.
- If you want to participate in the beer exchange, bring a gift-wrapped 750 or bomber.
